Pro Se Services - A brochure explaining services available to pro se litigants can be obtained in the Civil Department public service counters at Districts 2 and 5. Other pro se services are available depending upon the district.
  • In District 2, court advocates are available to assist individuals seeking a civil order of protection. They are located in room 218 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - 847-470-7250. There is also a volunteer attorney available for expungements only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • In District 3, court advocates are available to assist individuals seeking a civil order of protection. They are located in room 045 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - 847-818-8900. There is also a volunteer attorney available for Civil cases on Fridays beginning at 1:00 p.m. outside courtroom 206.
  • In District 4, court advocates are available to assist individuals seeking an order of protection. They are located in room 251 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is a volunteer attorney available for Civil cases on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. outside courtrooms 111 and 112.
  • In District 5, court advocates are available to assist individuals seeking a civil order of protection. They are located in room 223 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - 708-974-6265. There is also a volunteer attorney every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the lower level of the courthouse. They are available on a first-come first-served basis.
  • In District 6, court advocates are available to assist individuals seeking an order of protection. They are located in room 101K (708-232-4488) and room 102H (708-232-4651). In addition, the Illinois Justice Core is in the law library, room 028, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Pro Bono Advocates are available Thursdays only from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Appointments for these attorneys are scheduled every 30 minutes starting at noon. No appointments or walk-ins after 1:45 p.m. The scheduling book is located at the Civil counter in room 119. There is a volunteer attorney on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on a first-come first-served basis.
