Clerk Dorothy Brown Honors Latinos in Law Enforcement in Latino Heritage Celebration

(Chicago) On Sept. 19, 2018, Honorable Dorothy Brown, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County, recognized six outstanding Latino-American members in the field of law enforcement who exemplify the Clerk’s Office’s 2018 Latino Heritage Month theme of “Civic, Protect and Serve!”

Clerk Brown and the members of the Clerk’s Office’s Latino Employees Committee hosted the event in the Richard J. Daley Center. Mr. Vicente Serrano, host of Radiosalas.com, was the program’s Master of Ceremonies. Ballet Folklorico National de Victor Soria performed cultural dances for the program’s entertainment segments. The “Civic, Protect and Serve” Latino community honorees are:

  • Officer Vidal Cordova, Chicago Police Department
  • Officer Isaac Franco, Northeastern Illinois University Police Department
  • Sergeant Benny R. Martinez, Chicago Police Department
  • Sheriff Christina Medina, Cook County Deputy Sheriff for Court Services
  • Mr. Mario Silva, Retired Chicago Police Officer and Investigator for the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
