Advisory Board of the Circuit Court of Cook County Archives

This page is dedicated to Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County Archives Advisory Board. The Advisory Board's purposes are to:

•  Advocate the preservation and conservation of Circuit Court of Cook County archival records and, when appropriate, to make representation to government and other agencies to promote this preservation.

•  Provide a forum through which all those interested in Circuit Court of Cook County archival records may meet and exchange ideas and information.

•  Promote public understanding and use of the Circuit Court of Cook County Archives both locally and nationally.

•  Enhance the Circuit Court of Cook County Archives and ensure that the archives' historical records are open to public research.

•  Develop and promote the highest possible standards of policies, procedures, and ethics among Circuit Court of Cook County archivists.

•  Assess and report on the needs of the Circuit Court of Cook County Archives to government and other funding agencies, and to make representation to these agencies for funding and other assistance to fulfill these needs.

•  Represent the Circuit Court of Cook County Archives on both a state and national level.

•  Assist in the education of archivists and others in the field of archives.
