Teen Dating Violence Prevention Program
Alerts young people to the warning signs of dating violence.
Provides a Workshop environment where young people can be open
and candid in their discussion of dating violence.
Promotes the idea, in a school community, that young people have the opportunity to establish an environment that is violence free.
Gives direction on where to go for help if you are a victim of date violence.
The Goal of the Dating Violence Prevention Speakers Program is to bring the problem of teen dating violence directly to the
individuals most at risk -- the students. Through use of video, brochures, and additional resource material on dating violence, specifically trained volunteers from the Circuit Court Clerk's office guide students
through discussions on the topic. Only with continued awareness, discussion, and action can we begin to make a difference. |
