Clerk's Community Speakers' Bureau

Ms. Brown shares the expertise and experience of her staff by making them available through the Clerk's Office Speakers' Bureau.  Clerk staff members are available to speak on a wide range of topics dealing with the Cook County court system and the operations of the Clerk's Office.  Additionally, as detailed below, the Clerk's Office offers specific topic-oriented speakers in the areas of domestic and teen dating violence, child support, and housing. THE CHILD SUPPORT  SPEAKERS' BUREAU
The Child Support Speakers' program provides information to community groups regarding the Child Support IV-D program of the Cook County Clerk's Office. Requests for speakers, both English and Spanish, are directed to Maria Mattheis, Child Support Division, 28  N. Clark  Street, Suite 200, Chicago, Illinois 60602 or by telephone at (312) 345-4045.

TEEN DATING VIOLENCE PREVENTION SPEAKERS' PROGRAM
The Clerk of the Circuit Court offers a speakers program on dating  violence prevention to all high schools and junior high schools in Cook County. Staff members volunteer for training in  the field of dating violence, and present programs to individual classes or school wide audiences, as requested by the institution. The program is coordinated by the Clerk of the Circuit Court's Domestic Violence Liaison, Kathleen Monahan, who can be reached at (312) 325-9467 or (312) 325-9468.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE  PREVENTION SPEAKERS' PROGRAM
The Clerk of the Circuit Court offers a speakers' program geared toward community and  professional groups interested in learning about the topic of Domestic Violence. Presentations are tailored to the needs of the audience. Types of  issues and areas addressed include the psychology of Domestic Violence, safety measures for abuse victims and the criminal justice system's response to Domestic Violence.

HOUSING COURT LIAISON
The Clerk's Office Housing Court Liaison is a resource individual who can provide a person or community group with case information, speakers, an understanding of housing court, a review of the Clerk's computer system, and information on government housing programs and services.
