Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County Condemns Leaked Opinion of the Supreme Court

The U.S. Supreme Court’s draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade is a direct assault on the decades-long struggles women have fought for dignity, the right to choose, and equal rights. This decision would put a woman's constitutional right to choose back generations, negatively change the future for the next generations, and continue to level devastating consequences upon women who suffer the most prevalent injustices in our country.

As a woman of color, I am concerned that many Brown and Black women will be inordinately impacted. This decision will continue to fuel the devastating consequences upon women who suffer the most prevalent injustices in on our world today.

We must stand up and fight against these attacks women
